Ektar...

Ektar 100 has always been one of my favourite film stocks, and with two rolls sitting waiting to get developed I decided I'd had enough of waiting and caved in. One of the rolls was from a spontaneous trip to Buxton and the other was from a Liverpool FC game and i'm loving the way that they've come out. The vibrance of the red is something i've always loved about Ektar, the colour just explodes out of the pictures whenever it appears, and for the Liverpool game it only looked more amazing. Reds everywhere, different shades and shadows, and after this weekend, Liverpool again is truly Red. Something I also love to do with Ektar is occasionally push it through a HP5 filter for that detail and that softer black and white tone which I love. It almost gives it a Chromatic look to it. It's not a straight black and white, it's a slightly different look which i'm really experimenting with especially with the use of borders.
